Who This Serves

What this means for you

Funding moves Hello, It's Me® from a private purchase to a service written into the person's plan.

01

Adults with IDD and families

Practice friendship, communication and daily routines at home, at your own pace, with trained support guiding the first weeks.

02

Provider agencies and DSPs

Give your team a structured tool for social skills between visits, with progress data ready for the support plan.

03

Support coordinators

Learn how the assistive technology pathway works in your state. We brief coordination teams on the process and never ask for referrals.

The Process

How funding works

Four steps from goal to daily use. Timing depends on each state's review.

  1. 01

    Plan

The planning team names a goal: friendship, communication or daily independence.

  2. 02

    Request

The support coordinator requests assistive technology. In New Jersey, a licensed clinician completes an evaluation first.

  3. 03

    Approve and set up

The state approves the service. Our team configures the platform and trains the person and the family.

  4. 04

    Use and report

The person practices daily. We report progress to the planning team before each annual plan.

One Authorization

What the funding covers

One authorization covers the platform, the people who teach the person to use the platform, and the support behind both.

01

Platform

Structured social connection, coaching scenarios and life skills, built for adults with IDD and safe by design.

02

Training

Setup, orientation and guided practice for the person, the family and support staff.

03

Support

Hosting, updates, technical help and a progress dashboard for the support plan.

FAQ

Questions families and agencies ask

01Does the family pay?

When the state authorizes the service, Medicaid pays through the person's waiver or program budget. Families outside a funded program buy a subscription directly.

02Who qualifies?

People enrolled in a funded program in Missouri or New Jersey whose support plan includes a goal for social, communication or daily living skills. Each state confirms eligibility through its own review.

03Does every request get approved?

No. The state reviews each request against the person's plan and other available supports. Our team helps the planning team document the need clearly.

04What device does the person need?

A smartphone or tablet on iOS or Android, with an internet connection.

05Is my state next?

Enrollment is under way in additional states. Join the state update list and we will email you when your state opens.
