- Attend to the culturally diverse attributes of children and families.
- Use multiple strategies for building relationships with families, such as soliciting family goals for the child, sharing observations and documentation with families, and be available to meet with family members upon request.
- Design program strategies that incorporate knowledge of children’s cultural and linguistic backgrounds and experiences into the curriculum.
